Maximizing Clary Products + Your Reusable Sheet Mask

Thanks to their increased sustainability, reusable silicone sheet masks are becoming a popular alternative to cotton and hydrogel sheet masks.

Besides being more eco-friendly than single-use sheets, which come pre-saturated, silicone masks are a blank canvas helping to drive active ingredients of your choice into the skin, enabling you to customize your mask experience fully.

After completing my night-time skincare routine, I apply a generous amount of Clary Face Serum and wear my reusable silicon mask for 10 to 30 minutes. It has loops on either side to hook around the ears, so it never slides around or falls off, even if I'm up and walking around.

When done, I wash my mask with warm water and Clary's fragrance-free Calendula soap, pat it dry with a towel, then place it back in its provided storage bag until next time.

When I'm less rushed, and in need of extra care, I make my own face mask recipes using the addition of Clary Body Oil or Renew + Repair. We want to share how to extend the uses of your Clary skincare products by combining them with a few items from your kitchen!

    HOW IT WORKS:

Green tea's anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce skin irritation, redness, and swelling.

Honey draws and holds water to the skin. Honey is also naturally antibacterial, which is why it's so beneficial for acne-prone skin — it helps to gently manage acne-causing bacteria without drying the skin and causing irritation.

Plain Yogurt exfoliates skin with natural lactic acid, keeping pores clear and silky skin smooth. Plus, the probiotics in Yogurt can help balance the skin's microbiome, repopulating the beneficial bacteria.

Egg whites have astringent properties which will tighten the skin and shrink large pores. Egg whites can help balance greasy skin and prevent pimples and cysts.

Clary Renew + Repair oil helps with the appearance of scars and increases collagen production and tissue regeneration.

Clary Body Oil contains four major antioxidants that help moisturize and protect skin: Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Polyphenols, and Phytosterols. These powerful antioxidants help neutralize free radicals that cause skin damage and prevent them from harming further.

    REMINDERS:

    Do a patch test first.
When trying out a new product or treatment, do a quick patch test to see how your skin will react. While raw ingredients are wonderful natural alternatives, it's always best to test and see how your skin reacts.

Use the mask soon after you make it.
Ingredients exposed to air and bacteria will quickly deteriorate and could easily irritate the skin. To be safe, make your mask with fresh ingredients and use it within an hour of mixing.
